| In-Yard House
Having to create a 240 m2 house in a particularly small plot, 300 m2, the challenge for this project was to be able to create a spacious feeling in the domestic areas despite this limitation of the site.

‘The In-Yard house challenges the boundaries between interior and exterior domestic life.’

Conceptual Design
The concept of the in-yard house is centered in the development of a residential area that on the ground floor the interior space is connected with the exterior in both direction, both on x and y axis. Therefore, when the glass boundaries of the house are open, the house is extended to the plot boundaries.

The selection of materials, aluminum profiles and furniture support the core values of the project and the main intention of the project.
Accessibility & Visual Connections
Accessibility potential and visual connection of the various public parts of the house was the main intention of this project. The placement of the various function (i.e living room, dining, kitchen) is achieved by considering the space as both interior and exterior at the same time. The boundaries of the plot are also considered as boundaries of the interior domestic living and vise versa.
