Conceptual Design

The idea of the layout renovation is based on two key concepts
1. Bringing natural sunlight and ventilation in all parts of the office
2. Creating the minimum changes to the layout with the maximum effect

As a result, the central idea for the office renovation is to create a ventilation and circulation tube within the building. This tube serves both practical and social purposes. It not only introduces fresh air into the office space but also plays a central role in terms of accessibility and visibility, promoting social interactions within the office.

The visibility graph analysis reveals that the ventilation and circulation tube serves as the synthetic and operational center of the building. All working areas are relatively visually segregated, ensuring the privacy of the office spaces. In the case of the open-plan working area adjacent to the building’s core, desk layouts are arranged horizontally to maintain visual privacy in the space.
